The Skyline that separates me from you

I wanted to see through to the other side

Ripping through

Tearing the amazing skyline

The sea poured through

To a tranquil beach

My hands tried to reach

As if, pushing back the ozone layer

I just couldn’t break through

I tried desperately to reach you

The gushing waves of the blue sea

Held me back

I didn’t have the strength to push the skyline all the way back

The waters force naturally pushed through

Pouring into the deep ocean

Like a gentle flowing stream

Rippling

I tried to pull

I couldn’t smash through

I wanted to see

The beautiful tranquil scene

It has totally escaped me

I just wanted to break free
