The expensive meal
Today was a day
A day to remember
It was sunny and hot
We ate out
Roast dinner
In these new times bloody expensive
We savoured our food
As if it was gold
We could have choked on the price
Delicious and nice
Since lockdown
Upped the price
Everything more expensive
No one upped our wages
I may not eat a meal out for ages now
I need to save the pennies and pounds
We need to saviour each expensive meal
Now everything so expensive
That’s the new post lockdown meal deal!
