The 326 year old tree

For most of those years it grew freely

Grew up to be strong, tall and beautiful

Held its own weight

A hairstyle of deep green leaves

Someone wanted to build a home

No one wanted to pull the tree down

A compromise did arise

Let’s build a home around the tree

This building is truly unique

This building is a beautiful feat

The tree can still grow freely

Though encased in some places

What a privilege it must be

To be living next to a 326 year old tree

This unique building really turned out beautifully
