I’m caught between fiction and reality

I tip my toe

I stretch out my hand

Yet, fiction pulls me in

I try to escape into reality

Fiction temporarily shattered

My torso pulls me through

Yet, shattered fiction

Falls into reality

I try to capture a piece to keep

Reality, slips out of my hand

I’m encased

My imagination overtakes

I need some space

Tightly closed

As this blackness blinds me

I am literally caught between fiction and reality

Please release me
