From Picture to Reality

I drew a sketch of you

Of how I imagined you to be

I saw the colours on my artist’s palate

I mixed my colours

I blended

I knew how I wanted you to be

Your complexion and good looks

With my artist’s brush

With my painted oils

With each brush stroke

With each colour added

I fell in love with you

As I painted

I wanted you to be real

I wanted you to be reality

I wanted you to love me

The picture seemed so real to me

How I wished

How I daydreamed

Lost in time

Lost in thoughts

I saw my picture move

You broke out of the picture to be with me

I did not know if you was just a fantasy

As you kissed me

It was our new reality

No longer in the picture

You are now with me
