Oranges are not the only fruit
Oranges are not the only fruit
They taste beautiful
They are alive and do bloom
They hurt when pulled from the green leafed tree
They have feelings too
As they bounce into the cardboard box
They feel tightly squashed in
A new life off the tree branch begins
Where will the orange find him or herself?
They will feel a little bit bare
When freed of their thick warm skin
They do cry
Squished, peeled and sliced
Squeezed and eventually eaten or drank
The orange did cry
The poor orange did die
Pips and all
I did cry too
Wonderful orange
I know it must have hurt you
You tasted deliciously beautiful
Oranges are not the only fruit
Other fruits and vegetables have feelings too
