Please don’t break my Brambley apple heart
My heart is deliciously tangy but never too sugary sweet
My Brambley apple heart is a unique English breed
It might have a hard, crunchy exterior but inside is a little tender and soft
My heart is a very sensitive little soul
Right down to it’s sturdy, upright apple core
On occasions my Brambley heart cries
An orchard of apple pips
Sprawled across the orchard ground
My apple pip tears, can always be found
Please look after my Brambley apple heart
Please don’t break it into quarters or halves
Please don’t slice it into many little parts
Please don’t break my beautiful Brambley apple heart
