English Heatwave
Sitting in this sweaty heat
The sun gradually growing nearer to me
Breaking records
We do not need to break
Airplanes unable to take off
Runways tarmac a little warm
Melting and warped
Amber warning
A state of emergency
We become hermits
Blinds and curtains closed
The temperature slowly grows
It’s an English heatwave
Sitting in my seat a little bit hot and sticky
It must be over 40
