I remember watching as a child

Dorothy and the Wicked Witch

Moved beautifully to the music

They had grace and style

Elegance and performance

I remember being mesmerised

They were the main leads

The music and their dance has stayed with me

I remember the only performance I ever saw

They were my two older cousins you see

My Mum wanted me to be a ballerina

I knew it was never to be

I definitely had two left feet

No rhythm to music

My two older cousins were something I could never be

Two Ballerina’s with grace and elegance

Gave a performance that will stay forever with me

I can do a little art and poetry
