My Auburn Hair

I have always had my auburn hair

From the day it came to be there

Long, short, bob even a perm

I learnt my lesson there!

My auburn hair is now a Pixie cut

It is a good look

It is that short as a last resort

My head in so much pain long hair caused me

It still hurts to wash

It still hurts to cut

It still hurts to blow wave

You cannot believe how much

The pain when I have to brush

Just my little Pixie hair cut

No colours ever put on

I am a lucky one

Even though I have been asked on several occasions where I got my hair dye from!

This is a compliment

One day my beautiful auburn hair will be gone

It is not my intention to become no one

Just because my auburn hair will be gone

Silver and grey will be the new auburn
