I cannot see the edge

I want it to stop

Am I on the edge of infinity?

I daren’t step forwards

I cannot retrace my steps

I cannot retract

I’m too scared to step back

I might find the edge

I don’t want to drop

Such a long way to fall

No one to catch my fall

I may never land

I can no longer see clearly

The thick fog of pain

Distorts what I see

I cannot see the edge
