Buttered white toast

Eggs sunny side up and crispy streaky bacon

Baked beans

Topped off with a crispy potato and onion rosti

A hot cup of freshly brewed builders’ tea

Mark the Postie

Has been unfortunate three times

Catching his foot on a brush halfway down the stairs

His foot ending up

More than a little swollen up

This was really unfortunate

On the bright side he had a week off

Speeding on the A63

His car lost its umph

It came to an abrupt stop

He sent it to the garage shop

Unfortunately, it might cost a lot

Hoping to go on holiday

Needs some time away

In the bright sun

Only his flights have been cancelled now

If he doesn’t get refunded soon

There’ll be no holiday for Mark the postie
