Nature Just Doing its Thing

Nature just doing its thing

Lionesses fly

Turning into beautiful angels in the midnight sky

As stone gargoyles come alive

The parapet can only surmise

As the rivers flow

The salmon does dive

The seabed thrives

As the cockles and muscles hide

In the deep sea

Before the fishermen sail their boats

To bring home their daily catch

As the lightning does flash

Shooting stars

Travel from Earth to Mars

Catching Saturn’s rings

On earth, we hear the loud deafening rings

Nature just doing its thing

As diamonds are found in the deep ground

Caves of freezing icicles

A touching beauty

Beneath my bare feet

I feel some relief

As things are happening around me

Some, I can no longer see

Just to breathe

Is a miracle

We forget

Just as lionesses fly

Turning into beautiful angels in the midnight sky

As stone gargoyles come alive

Life does thrive

Beneath the midnight sky

In the deep sea

Shooting stars

Travel from Earth to Mars

Catching Saturn’s rings

Nature just doing its thing
