My Uncle Rob

I feel very lucky today

I got to see my Uncle Rob before he gently passed away

It was an unusual sight

To see you in such a deep sleep

You was always so full of wonderful life

No more comfy cushions to puff up

No more long green grass to cut

No more colourful walls to paint

No more empty teacups to clear away

As I look back on my happy childhood days

Trips to Thornton-le-Dale, Millington Springs

Scarborough

Those days were a treasure to behold

Never forgotten

You were just so fab

How lucky was I

To have my Uncle Rob

Now it’s your time for your forever sleep
