My mind is twisted in knots

My mind is literally tied in knots

My brain hurts such a lot

I cannot explain

A life consumed with nagging pain

From my head to my toes

It won’t let me go

On a happier note

Poetry helps me cope

An outlet of adventurous words

Where tears may stream

I can but dream

Of a day without pain

Until then my words will always reign

Only tears in the pouring rain

Twisted in knots

Pain twisted in every vein

No day ever the same

I can’t shake or shrug it away
