Living in a World of Technology

As my feet walk this treadmill of the world

I feel the heat

I feel the cold

My feet splash in the deep sea

My feet walk in the golden grainy sands

Every day I walk up the wooden stringent ladder

I take my ergonomic seat

The artificial light shines down on me

As my eyes are fixated to this computer screen

Mesmerised and hypnotised

Addicted to the keyboard and pixel screen

Technology

I communicate throughout the world

Yet, I do not see

The amazing beautiful world beneath my feet

Through this artificial technology

I cannot see the beautiful earth beneath me

I walk but I do not see
