I want to paint
On those dark cold nights
When the long summer days seem far away
I want to paint the sky light blue
Paint white cotton clouds
The bright sun shining through
When the sun sets
I would paint a sunset
Splurges of golden glitter
Splashes of deep red
A slice of orange
My painted sunset
I would paint the dark rough seas
The deep blue rivers
I would paint them sparkly greenery blue
The rivers and seas calm waves of white
With boats and birds
The glistening paint
The seas and rivers summer rains
Paint ducks and ducklings by the riverside
I would paint the deep black stone rocks
The sandy sands painted yellow
I feel the sand
The wind blows some in my eyes
The rock pools
I would paint the crabs and small fish
I would paint so many colours
I would paint the bare trees with green leaves
The rich green grass
I would paint each blade of grass
Different shades
You could feel each blade between your toes
Luscious meadows
I would paint bluebells and daffodils
The fruit trees bearing red and green apples
I would paint
The multicoloured fields
The green hedges that divide
The farmers fields
I would paint the tractors deep red
I would paint my mind and thoughts
I would paint a rainbow
I love the feel of rain upon my face
The rainbow the miracle
I would paint my pain away
I would rub it out of my sight
Only paint a beautiful calm and structured life
In those dark and short days
I will paint with many colours of paint
I will paint each stroke
I will remember spring and summer
The heat
My sunglasses as the sun catches my eyes
The longer days of light
My mind and thoughts now bright
