Can’t we start again?
The holiday that was hard to begin
Darren had trouble getting his bags on the plane
He had to apply for his American visa again
His new passport didn’t match up
He waited some hours for his American visa to turn up
This was not the best start
We become apart
The machines wouldn’t let us through!
New boarding passes for Darren, Harry and me
This was all before we had time for our last English tea
The stress
This was not great
Is this to be our fate?
I had to ring up work
Tell them I would be back a day late
Helen wished me a good holiday
We finally made it to our plane
Mixed up boarding passes again
Queuing like the Queen Elizabeth Line
Like herding in cattle
We will take our seats
Squashed in like human sardines
Is this the American dream?
As drinks spill
Entertainment does stop
I think we’ve had enough
As Graham and Darren live it up
Bucks Fizz they drink
As we are drenched in red wine
Over Jacob and Chloe
Who said plane travel was fun
Most modes of transport
We have already done
A comedy caper
I think this is trains, planes and automobiles
Please sort out these technicalities
I want to go back
I was watching Back to the Future
All I need now is an electrical scooter
To abandon this plane
Can’t we start again?
