A sandstorm of love
Wrapped around a warm flag of Pride
Where unicorns and nuns happily reside
Side by side
At the blooming soaking hot seaside
As the cool waves ride
This is the opening festival of Pride
Beginning of the festival ride
The afternoon bus floats
As we walk through the streets
Wondering who we might meet
High heels and big feet
Flamboyant people
Always within our easy reach
Catarina to Yumbo
Many thousands of people walk
Glamorously slowly
We don’t get to go
On the outrageous floats
Angels and Queens
Egyptians and gods
Other glamorous big butts
Cor blimey it’s bloody hot
The music doesn’t stop
The festival of Love
