The Queen of Hearts giant playing cards

Now lost and dispersed

The pack of giant cards scattered everywhere

There are absolutely no words

The familiar chaotic order of bedlam

Is nowhere to be seen

The Mad Hatter’s tea party

Now, never late

It never starts

It never takes place

As the empty plates, half empty teacups, half brewed teapots and freshly made half eaten cakes

Now dispersed around this unfamiliar desolate place

No, tea party table to be ever laid

It has no place

Chaotic discord and lateness has left this place

I’m totally phased

As the wind blows and the rain pelts down

Bouncing on this hard, battered ground

Wonderland strewn across this barren land

Will someone take me by the hand?

I wish I could turn back time

Before woke was a monster that was woken up

Before the climate decided to change

In Wonderland was always embraced

Where everyday the Mad Hatter could be guaranteed to be extra late

As I pass another whirling swirling tea plate

Reach out to another of Mary’s floating open umbrella’s

As I stand in this unpredictable weather

I tap my black shiny boots

Will someone please return Wonderland?

To the way it used to be

Unique quirkiness and happiness spread all over the land

That is Wonderland!

Not these strewn barren lands
