We just call Earth
So fast the speed of light
The rainbow colours fly past my eyes
The deafening natural sounds
I hear are so loud
The world rotates
Half day
Half night
Surrounded by deep black space
The stratosphere
Our puffy cushion blanket
Covering our eyes
To the thousands of unknown galaxies
Far and wide
Never to travel in our lifetime
As gravity keeps us upright
This spinning top rotates
Dark and light
Travelling to nowhere in the atmosphere
Continually dizzy
On this rotating curve ball
We just call Earth
Amazing we ever don’t fall
Or gravity pulls us magnetically through the burning hole
The many plates that move
The Earth spinning in some galaxy groove
Occasional comets come and go boom!
Causing harm and disruption
Eclipse like a curtain
Shutting out the sun
The moon stands graciously in front
580 years we waited for the one just done
This rotating ball
When will we get off
We when will we fall off
One day the Earth might have had enough
Never runs smooth
Nature is in control
We are just on a living rotating ball
We just call Earth
That’s all
Sometimes it feels like a globe
On a plastic stand
Are we being moved by someone’s clumsy hand?
