Two Wax Mannequins
It’s the summer of 1929
We live in our American department store
We are wax mannequins
We are profusely sweating
Our hard wax is slowly melting
We are gradually cracking up
We are now glorified contortionists
As my neck spins around
I am looking down at my twisted turning feet
This is such a massive feat
I’m losing my locks of hair
My wax face now slowly weirdly distorted
My friend also has a crooked neck
Yes, and a very bendy elbow and leg
As we are still sweating extremely profusely
At this rate, we will end up in a big melting pot
It is so bloody hot
In this American department store
I can’t take much more
It’s the summer of 1929
We are just two wax mannequins sweltering in an American department store
I really don’t think us mannequins should be made from wax
In a hot summer we melt too bloody fast!
