The Earth

One day the earth will be no more

No time to tell

The earth we did all dwell

The earth we eventually fell

In our time we did travel well

We explored more than anybody

Some found love and was happy

Some were not lucky enough

The earth and seas and sky’s were always there for us

The earth never perfect

It changed just like us

Technology meant we were friends with people we never met

In countries we never visited

Technology a wonderful thing

We learnt from each other

Able to comment and quote

Gave us confidence and unspoken words spoke

When some of us couldn’t write a note

This earth I think we appreciate

We are only temporary dwellers on this estate

One day we give up our place

Each day we are lucky to live with such grace

Earth you are a truly magical place
