Poetic Sins

I wear my heavy armour

It weighs me down

From the copper penny to the golden pound

It is hard to hold me

Echoing sounds

My many coins weigh me down

My glistening gold and silver armour

Hides my many sins

The coins from my armour gently fall

Like golden raindrops

Onto the cold black floor

My naked self

Stripped of my riches

Revealing my naked soul

My inhibitions just let go

My words free fall

I only wear my skin

No coins to hold my earthly sins

No restraints

No constraints

My words out of control and spin

The nakedness begins

Playing with my poetic sins

Your Naked Poet
