My Earthly World

My earthly world spins around my head

Distorted by my brain fog

Like thick, heavy, grey clouds

Misting my brain

Blinded by black depression

Sometimes, I cannot see

What is in front of me?

The light, I try to find

My naked self

Lost in a new vulnerable world

It has taken hold

Tears and laughter flow

Exaggerated

Like an unfamiliar caricature

This alter ego

I do not know

Where did my usual self go?

I must have let her go

My naked self revealed herself

Painting words upon my nakedness

This feeling is now my past, present and future

I have learnt to say my words

As I live in this new world

Spinning around my head

Blackness and light

Intermittently

Will always be within my sight

This new alto ego

She hasn’t let me go

She is my naked poetic soul

Writing raw words of tears and laughter overflow
