My Dreamland 3

Vacation

Fast asleep in my bed

I awake on a sun lounger near the extra large swimming pool

I look across the wide street

I’m staying in a 1950’s motel

I’m wearing a 50’s style swimming costume

As I feel the sticky heat

I don’t know where I am

There are lots of picturesque sandy mountains

The centre piece that is so totally unique

An elegant giant rimmed gold antique mirror

As tall as ten Empire State Buildings

Reflecting the mountains and magnifying the beautiful moon

We are surrounded by the dark night sparkling sky

This is a very strange vacation

I’ve even started talking American!

I don’t know where I am

I hope when I wake

I will have my English accent back again

I will be in my own comfy bed

I will know where I am

I think I’ve just had a strange holiday to dreamland again!
