If only I knew my end at the start

If only I knew my end at the start

I don’t remember my start

Long forgotten

Times of ignorant bliss

Soon passes to the long middle bit

Often with a pause or an interlude

Eventually to bloom and grow

Personality and a bit quirky

To live life

Experience everything

How lucky I was travelling when it was normal for us

Now an even bigger adventure

We now appreciate

It has taught us to realise before our dying date

This long interlude

Everything feels so different to what it used to

Life is so hard to do

Buying simple things now mean such a lot

This interlude where normal has been forever lost

Extraordinary times brought out my poetry and rhymes

Pictures too

Something achieved

In this pause or long interlude

Feels like my pain has increased many times

These are just strange and yet amazingly sad and happy times

I found my outlet at the right time

I have no idea about my end

I have lived in normal and strange times

I got to write some good poetic lines

I’m a little talented

A little tired and in pain

I know at the end

Somewhere, sometime, someone will read a beautiful poem of mine

I will continue to live through each and every line

For the energy they touch and feel around them

Will be mine

My end may only be my start

If only I knew my end at the start
