Swinging back

Always channel hopping

Always landing on a cookery programme

On every channel

Overrun

Yet these people seem to be having such fun

As we watch the big TV screen

I feel like the inches are just piling on

As if I’m being spoon fed

This colourful flavoursome spicy food

A shame Smellivision is yet to be invented

Or better yet

Passing a plate of food through the screen to you

Just as I FaceTime you

I would love a plate to be delivered to me

Blinded by this big colourful screen

My mind boggles by the trillions of recipes

I must have seen

We are blinded by cookery programmes

It seems

Swinging forwards

Swinging back

Channel hopping

I want to find a cookery free TV programme

I’m just not stopping
