As I tentatively take a step forward

Are we pushed?

Do we tumble?

Do we fall?

Now we’re just knocking on the door

I’ve never been to 2022 before!

As I fall into a New Year

It comes with hope

It comes with tears

It comes with fears

For those lost

We still hold near

I hope it’s not another groundhog year

Hours, months and years have blended together

In these hard strange years

We will always look back

To move forward

We need to do that
