Friendship Ends

A short friendship came to an end

Two different people

Too many different views and ways

Two different lands

I will not cave in and succumb

I have a strong will

Our friendship was not compatible

I cannot help the hard hand I have been dealt

Understanding

It was too difficult for you

The writing was written on the wall from the first page

This friendship

Never to last

To go our own way

No bitterness

I hope you will still enjoy my poems

They are my gift to you

I wrote a special poem

Especially for you

Every day I wish you happiness

Our friendship was never made to last

On occasion the Naked Poet will still think of you
