Easter Egg Race Day
It was Easter Egg Race Day
The day of the great chocolate egg race
It definitely has no grace
A lot of pace
As the chocolate eggs bounced on the chocolate bread
It was hard to tell who was just ahead
Rattle and bounce and the occasional crack
That was a little bit bad
As Crunchy egg cracked up
Creme egg could not contain her delight
As her yellow yolk dispersed
No chocolate eggs were hurt
The mini sugar chocolate eggs
Banged and hit their crispy pastel shells
Their own crunchy chocolate hell
It was not going too well
As all the eggs made their way to the spinning chocolate fondue
As some fell down
In this runny, hot swell
A rainfall of pink and white marshmallows fell
Skewing their chocolate path
Chocolate buttons and popping candy
Found the marshmallows so handy
A sweet trampoline
This was chocolate beautiful dream
The most amazing scene
The eggs bounced and trounced
The chocolate honeycomb path
Kit Kat egg was definitely not daft
Malteser and M & M’s took the lead again
Leaving Curly Wurly around the bend
Smarties made a quick get away
Milky Way was just over halfway
Too much chocolate path to make up
As Rocky Road and Malteser overtook
Milky Way just couldn’t look
As Mars bar and Snickers
Got crushed and mushed up
Ending up
In the big choccy mixing bowl
As Smarties whizzed past
He had no intention of being last
Yorkie and Time Out took their own time
It was now a race to the finish line
Smarties made the best time
Curly Wurly was second best
Wearing his milk chocolate string vest
As Creme egg and Crunchy came through
Wearing a new pink and white marshmallow costume
The crowd did cheer and roar
No one had seen a chocolate egg race quite like this before
The crowd wanted more and more
The chocolate eggs were applauded
As everyone got stuck on the thick popping candy chocolate floor
Hitting a big rum and raisin chocolate wall
As the rest of the chocolate eggs did draw
The chocolate eggs were so tired
As they all rolled back onto their own chocolate bread bed
With a fluffy marshmallow pillow
It was time for bed
The Easter eggs put on their foil pyjamas
Knowing they all did their best
All the chocolate eggs agreed
Curly Wurly had the winning string vest
Each chocolate egg cuddling up to their very own chocolate Ted
In their chocolate bed
