Trying to escape from our English gardens

Our well worn sofa

Trying desperately hard to branch out

Booking exotic flights

Suntan lotion and sunglasses already packed

Now just waiting for our dark blue passports to arrive

Now stuck in a backlog of passports

Will I ever get away?

The planes crisscross in the daylight sky

Painting out the white lined sky highway

The sky lights up with the golden cat’s eyes in the night sky

Just waiting for my passport to arrive in time

So, I can take off

In a hot, exotic and distant land

Please hurry to put my passport in my hand
